Journey

Leaving Rognan approximately 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle and following the Norwegian coast down to Bergen, we will cross the North Sea to the Shetland Isles, go around Scotland and Ireland and end our journey in Brittany. Our journey may be modified depending on the manoeuvrability of the boat.

It is a fact that a project such as this has never been realised. Others have left on longer trips, but never in such a small boat as this. If we succeed, we will have travelled 3600 miles in a 20 foot boat without a cockpit!

To survive on the way we will fish, and on shore visits play the bagpipes in duet as well as singing and flute.

For security reasons we will be taking some modern equipment with us: GPS, a radio to contact other ships if necessary, sleeping bags and modern sailing apparel.
