Ronald told us in Rørvik that if we come to his place, we¨'ll be really welcome,and he was even under the truth, we arrived from Ålesund after being playing in the streets, rowing the 3 nautic miles in the small boat harbour. Fast the boat, then reach the place where it seems to happens something.
We arrived in a very surprising arena, build like a Viking house, with a grass roof and in the front, a little place like in a village, where around 150 actors are playing the history of this island. The costumes are home made, like the arena, built in their free time by the peopple living in the island. the full impression is great, the crowded viking house with women doing the wool, the kitchen, the young men try to fight with the sword, every thing makes it really alive. We needed to see the show a few times before really understand it, but after a few explications by the actors, we manage to get the story. We enjoied our time watching the show and been asked to play after the last one, in front of the actors and the crowed, around 700 peopple, the biggest crowed we had in norway!!
We have also listened to a concert of "Smyr" a vocal ensemble of four girls, singing traditionnal and religious texts, with their own melodies, beautifull.
